POSITION INFORMATION
Job Summary:
Identifies, plans, tracks, and purchases goods and services as required for Trexel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Purchase goods and services in accordance with company policies and procedures, including sourcing and negotiating pricing and terms with U.S. suppliers for Trexel parts.
Run MRP reports and process purchase orders generated by system demand and non-inventory purchases for Trexel.
Monitor and manage open purchase orders by verifying order confirmations, tracking deliveries, and expediting orders with suppliers to ensure production and customer requirements are met.
Maintain accurate material master data and supplier-specific purchasing information, including costs, lead times, safety stock levels, and lot sizes.
Collaborate closely with Trexel internal departments to support production schedules and place orders based on the build plan.
Serve as the primary vendor interface for Trexel, maintaining strong supplier relationships and coordinating warranty returns when necessary.
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies related to purchased materials.
Perform additional duties as assigned
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Educational/Training Requirement:
High School Diploma, Trade School or GED required.
Associate's Degree preferred.
Experience:
3+ years of experience in purchasing in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong communication skills
Able to manage multiple tasks at once and prioritize by importance
Independent thinking
Proficient computer skills
SAP experience preferred
